MARK BOSNICH has been rushed to hospital and forced to pull out of Champions League punditry duty.

The former Manchester United star will miss giving his analysis in Australia on Thursday morning after he was admitted into hospital.

Bosnich, 52, posted a selfie of himself from his hospital bed and looked in good spirits as he had his thumb up.

He wrote: "Will not be able to see you all tomorrow morning but will be fine by Friday.

"But join us here in Oz from 6.35am(AEDT)."

Many people flocked to comment and wish him a speedy recovery on social media.

A fan wrote: "Hope you're well, Bozza. Speedy recovery and take care."

Former boxing champion George Kambosos Jr posted: "Speedy recovery Bozza."

A second commented: "Take care boz."

Bosnich retired from football in 2009, having had spells at Manchester United, Aston Villa, Sydney United, Chelsea and Central Coast Mariners and Sydney Olympic.

During his time as a Red Devil, he picked up a Premier League winners medal in 2000.

His best time in England was at Aston Villa, where he won two League Cups in 1994 and 1996.
