Pochettino, 51, arrived at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of July 2023 with the club promptly splashing out over £400million on 13 new recruits.
But heavy investment hasn't translated into points or performances.
Chelsea were booed off after Sunday's 4-2 home defeat by Wolves, which followed a heavy 4-1 loss at Liverpool.
Those results have left Chelsea 11th in the Premier League with 10 defeats in 23 games, their lowest league tally since the 1993-94 season.
The Blues have nine league wins all campaign with 31 points on the board and a negative goal difference - exactly the same as this time last season before Graham Potter was sacked.
The Argentine hasn't been helped with Thiago Silva's wife posting an apparent criticism of him on social media.
"It's time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late," she posted on X.
But who could replace Mauricio Pochettino?
Roberto De Zerbi is the leading contender at 6/1 with the Italian considered one of the most exciting coaches in world football.
But Chelsea aren't the only club sniffing around the 44-year-old with Liverpool and Real Madrid both believed to have shown interest.
Michel Sanchez is next in the betting market at 8/1, and that's unsurprising given the job he's doing at Girona - challenging for the title with a squad costing them little over £30million.
Jose Mourinho is offered at 9/1 for a third spell in West London after leaving Roma, although it would be a surprise to see Todd Boehly and Co. reach for a manager so symbolic of the previous regime.
Sporting Lisbon's Ruben Amorim, Xabi Alonso and Zinedine Zidane are all available at 10/1, ahead of debating Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez.
