Fans hail Darwin Nunez as ‘funniest footballer on earth’ after bizarre exchange with Arsenal star Gabriel
FOOTBALL fans have branded Darwin Nunez the "funniest" player on earth following his bizarre altercation with Gabriel Magalhaes during Liverpool's match against Arsenal.
During the latter stages of the game Nunez, who was introduced as a substitute in the 58th minute, fired a shot over the crossbar.
In response to the wayward strike Gabriel shouted in his face, likely taunting him.
But Nunez went on to grab the defender's head before the two jokingly shared a hug.
Fans took to social media to react, with one person writing: "Darwin Nunez ...what is that shot 😂 and then shares a moment with Gabriel ..the funniest footballer on earth."
Another added: Nunez and Gabriel grabbing each other's head is HILARIOUS 😂."

Arsenal took the lead in the 14th minute through Bukayo Saka, but Luis Diaz capitalised on a defensive error to help his team equalise just before half time.
A mistake from Virgil van Dijk and Alisson opened the door for Gabriel Martinelli to put the Gunners ahead again.

And Leandro Trossard fired home a shot from close range to seal the win.
After the match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: "It was an extraordinary game, I think it was an incredible performance from the players and our people.
The atmosphere that we generated in the stadium is the best I’ve seen this season, we demanded that, we had to go to a different level and connect it again to the demands that this league has in every game and they have responded in an unbelievable way and I think the players left absolutely everything.
"They put their heart and soul into every ball and I can not be any prouder because I know how difficult it is to beat this team.
"How much you have to suffer, all the preparation, and how much they have to process to try to do what they did on the pitch so a big thank you."
