AARON RAMSDALE has sent a cheeky message to an Arsenal fan account after it posted a clip from training.

The video showed Kai Havertz attempting a stunning bicycle kick, which he caught very well.

The account claimed that the German's strike hit the back of the net.

However, Ramsdale, 25, was quick to respond as he suggested that he actually saved the effort.

He posted: "Goal? Come again haha."

Upon watching the video, the ball can be spotted bouncing behind the goal after the action.

A coach can also be heard praising the England international for his efforts.

Both of these would suggest that Ramsdale was in fact correct and that Havertz did not score.

But Arsenal fans loved the interaction from the former Sheffield United stopper on social media.

One posted: "MY NUMBER ONEEEE."

A second commented: "My #1. Love you, king."

A third wrote: "Let him cook Rambo."

A fourth said: "Great save Aaron, seeing you save so many goals like this."

Another added: "My number one... All day all time."

Ramsdale has had a tough season at Arsenal after the club signed David Raya from Brentford last summer.

Manager Mikel Arteta has preferred the Spaniard to Ramsdale in the league, which has seen him feature just five times.

The Englishman has only made five more appearances across the League Cup, Champions League and FA Cup.

This lack of game time has led to rumours suggesting that Ramsdale could be on the move with the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle interested.
