IRELAND have stunned 14-man France 38-17 to kick off their Six Nations defence in perfect fashion.

Andy Farrell's new-look Irish side dominated from the start, running in five tries in Marseilles.

Paul Willemse was sent off for France in the first half after two yellow cards, both of which were for head shots.
