TICKETS are like gold dust for Newport’s FA Cup clash with Manchester United - and even one of their players could not pull some strings to get some extra seats for his family.
The Red Devils are looking to avoid one of the biggest upsets in living memory when they take on the minnows - and their fans - tomorrow.
FA Cup fever has hit South Wales as the team assembled for NOTHING takes on one of the costliest assembled squads on the planet.
Their modest Rodney Parade home enjoyed a sell-out crowd for their League Two clash with Welsh rivals Wrexham last weekend.
And it will be jam-packed again on Sunday when United come to town.
However, the demand for tickets has been so large that even a member of the Newport team has had no luck as he tried to add a few more names to his allocation.

According to , this star “even joined the queue hoping to land some extra spares for friends and family - only to see 14,000 people ahead of him”.
Striker and local boy Nathan Wood, 26, was the man in question.
And he said: "It's no secret that tickets have been like gold dust.

“I actually had a look at the queue on Monday morning and I was number 14,000 in the queue, so there was no chance.”

Wood, who confessed to being a United fan, added: “It's great for the city, great for the players, and hopefully one that will live long in the memory.”
We revealed this week what will await the star-studded United squad after climbing off the team coach outside the 7,850-capacity ground upon arrival.
They will be greeted by beige tiles and peeling plaster once they enter the away changing-room.
And Bruno Fernandes and Co. will have to make do with facilities like nothing they may have experienced before, certainly not in the Premier League anyway.
The away changing rooms have faded paint on the walls, a fold-up table, physio's chair, a few bins and two urinals.
The visiting dug-out also only holds a maximum of 13 people.
That means that emergency chairs will have to be deployed for United’s substitutes and coaching staff - who will have to sit in front of the raucous home fans.
