Gary Neville fights back tears on BBC Dragons Den debut and makes ‘amazing’ offer to Man City fan Liam Browne

GARY Neville appeared to get emotional after making an 'amazing off' to a Man City fan on Dragons' Den.

The former footballer appeared on the hit BBC One business show as a guest star.

Gary sat alongside Sara, Deborah, Steven, Touker and Peter with a wad of cash ready to invest.

After turning down one fellow footballer's business idea, he set his sights on another entrepreneur.

Liam Browne entered the den with his Manchester-based company, Full Power Cocoa.

The businessman's aim was for his consumer's to have "full power" by taking advantage of the bean's nutrients.

Liam impressed not one but three of the dragons who wanted to invest in his business.

Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones and Garry Neville all wanted into the company.

"You spoke of authenticity and obviously knowledge of cocoa," said Gary.

Peter said: "I want to go on this journey with you, and I don't think know what that journey is."

He followed up by offering Liam £50,000 for 10% of his business.

Steven hit back and offered him the same money but for a staggering 20% of the firm.

While Touker offered £10k for 5%, Gary proposed a different idea.

He told him: "Look Liam, you support the wrong football team but I can get over that.

"You're absolutely incredible, you actually make me a little emotional. You're an incredible ambassador for your brand but more importantly for me you're an incredible ambassador for this city.

"I love my city and I love investing in business and people around this city, so I can't not give you money, I can't not make you an offer."

Liam said he was drawn to Steven, Gary and Peter which led Neville to make him an offer.

He told him: "I would be happy to split the money three ways, they take 10% each and I'll take 10%."

Liam accepted the offer and the four men had a group hug in the middle of the den

Speaking earlier about his childhood on the show, Liam said: "Liam was a boy who grew up with a lot of domestic violence, mum was in a lot of disempowered relationships.

"I didn't have any positive male role models in my life, I played football, started drinking, started doing drugs."
