SNOOKER star Judd Trump shares a surname with one of the most talked about men on the planet, Donald Trump.

Many fans have questioned whether the sportsman, who won his second Masters title in 2023, is related to the American politician and media personality.

Is Judd Trump related to Donald Trump?

No, Judd Trump is not related to the former President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Back in 2017, the sportsman addressed the confusion over the pair's shared last name and admitted that people often question him over whether there is a connection.

According to , he said: "It's almost every time.

"They'll look at my details and say something like, 'Oh, that's unfortunate — do you wish you had a different name?'

"At first, after the election, it wasn't so much, but now it's worse.

"I mean, he's on Twitter saying stuff all the time, isn't he? He's giving the rest of us a bad name."

Donald Trump was elected as the 45th US President in 2016.

He served one term and his presidency ended following the 2020 presidential election when Joe Biden was elected.

Before becoming a politician he was a businessman and reality TV star, best known for presenting the American version of The Apprentice.

Who is Judd Trump?

Judd Trump is a snooker player from Whitchurch, Bristol.

He was born on August 20, 1989.

Trump had aspirations of becoming a professional snooker player from a young age and earned under-13 and under-15 English champion status by the age of 14.

He became the youngest player ever to qualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament at the Welsh Open in the 2005/6 season and has since gone on to become one of the best players in the sport.

During his impressive career, he has compiled more than 900 century breaks and eight maximum breaks.

He was awarded an MBE for his services to snooker and charity in June 2022, as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours.

Not much is known about Judd's personal life but it has been reported in the past that he is in a relationship with Khadijah Misr.

The rumoured couple have been pictured together several times over the years but details about the star's supposed partner are not known to the public and the pair have never confirmed dating rumours.

How much did Judd Trump get for winning The Masters?

Trump won the Masters for the first time in the 2018/19 season, the same season he completed his Triple Crown.

The event's prize pool was £600,000, £200k of which went to winner Judd.

The star then won the Masters again in 2023 and walked away with £250,000.

The tournament that year had an overall prize fund worth a total of £725,000.

After his 2023 win, Trump became the eleventh player to win the Masters more than once.

He returned to the event, held at Alexandra Palace in London, in 2024 to defend his title but lost out to Ali Carter on January 12.

Carter then progressed to the semi-finals where he was scheduled to take on Mark Allen.

Trump has built up an impressive fortune throughout his years as a snooker player.

He has reportedly earned over £5.2m in prize money during his career and his estimated net worth is around £9 million.
