Van Barneveld confirmed the tie by overcoming Jim Williams 4-1 on Friday.

The 29th seed will now face the 16-year-old darts sensation next after Littler saw off Matt Campbell by the same score on Wednesday.

One of Brendan Dolan, Boris Krcmar or Gary Anderson will await the winner in the last eight.

He was also paid two lots of £27,500 after appearing at the Modus Super Series.

According to the PDC Order of Merit, he has earned £2,500 from PDC events across the last two years, ranking him 164th in the world.

Barney, meanwhile, is believed to be worth £5million, with a professional career dating back to 1987.
