And Littler made it known there is nothing for he enjoys than a good kebab - which led to the ultimate invitation.

A London fast-food restaurant had offered to give Littler FREE kebabs for LIFE if he had beaten Luke Humphries at Ally Pally.

Brand-new Oxford Street eatery Kebhouze promised to provide a black card for an endless supply of meals.

But sadly, Littler was dramatically beaten 7-4 by Humphries and are yet to reveal if they will budge for the runner-up.

The restaurant serve various kebabs, burgers, fries, nuggets and even a sweet Nutella-filled bun at their locations in London, Ibiza and across Italy.

Chief Marketing Officer Giulio Paterno had said before the final: "After hearing that Luke loves nothing more than a kebab to celebrate a win, we had to make him an offer that would further encourage the 16-year-old master player to win at this year's PDC World Darts Championship.

"Hopefully knowing that a lifetime supply of our premium kebabs as well as the esteemed title are just on the other side will give him more ammo to go on and win the Championship at Ally Pally.

"We wish Luke the best of luck – the next one is on us!"

MEAT AND GREET

Littler started playing darts when he was just one and, despite his tender age, took the stunning run in his stride.

That has included posing for photos with Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and Donny van de Beek.

The Manchester United fan was gifted tickets for an Old Trafford tour for Christmas.

And a PR expert revealed to SunSport Littler could follow in his hero's footsteps by becoming the "Wayne Rooney of darts" with millions in the bank.

He also joined England man James Maddison at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the Lilywhites' 3-1 win over Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.

And even in defeat, Littler spoke graciously as he said: “I have gained a lot of experience.

"A lot of people know me now, they look up to me, I am happy. I am happy with getting to the final. It has been a rollercoaster.”
