Fans shocked as Newcastle No2 Jason Tindall winks & says ‘hopefully it’s not your last Christmas’ at children’s hospital
NEWCASTLE assistant manager Jason Tindall delivered what appeared to be a bizarre Christmas message during the team's recent visit to a children's hospital.
The Magpies took time off their festive schedule to spread some holiday cheer at the Great North Children's Hospital and plenty of them sent wishes across the fanbase.
Tindall was among the players and staff who stood in front of the camera but his statement left supporters baffled.
That is because Eddie Howe's No2 said he hoped this is not the fans' "last Christmas" while winking at them.
Tindall : "To all you Geordies out there and all the Newcastle fans around the world, we're wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
"And, hopefully, it's not your last Christmas."

Many Newcastle fans were left bemused by Tindall as they took to social media.
One supporter tweeted: "What’s this all about?"
Another said: " I’m scared, confused and laughing all at the same time."
However, there is a reason behind Tindall's message to the Newcastle fans.

And that is because the Toon faithful recently came up with a funny chant dedicated to the 46-year-old.
The supporters took a page out of Wham's book by singing their own version of Last Christmas.
Fans chanted: "Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away.
"This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it to Jason Tindall."
