Ratcliffe is expected to make sweeping changes at the club on several levels.

The Old Trafford faithful have been relishing his restructuring ever since it was first announced.

And they took to X to voice their joy at the billionaire finally becoming a major shareholder.

One Man Utd fan said: "A new era, let’s hope the future brings better days!"

And another chimed in: "Christmas has come early! WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!"

Ratcliffe is set to inject close to £245million into a floundering United.

But club legend Gary Neville has his doubts, recently saying: "How does a minority stakeholder positively impact the club to achieve the above?

"Can a minority shareholder have any impact on the above.

"It leaves more questions than answers. 

'My preference is and always will be now for a Glazer family full exit.

"They have overstayed their welcome in Manchester yet seem oblivious to this fact."
