Eagle-eyed Man Utd fans spot Raphael Varane ‘shouting’ at ‘non-existent’ team-mate who went missing in first-half
FANS backed Rapahel Varane after spotting him "shouting" at "non-existent" Manchester United team-mate Scott McTominay at Anfield.
Stand-in skipper McTominay was slammed by fans for an "embarrassing" first-half performance against Liverpool.
Defender Varane appeared to vent his frustration at the long-serving midfielder, who viewers accused of being unable to keep hold of the ball in Sunday's Premier League clash.
One fan posted: "Not a single ball to him has stuck it’s embarrassing."
Another said: "Varane appeared to be shouting at McTominay there. #mufc need so much more from their front four, mainly the three behind Hojlund. Their use of the ball has been poor."
One observer said: "Varane giving the 'captain' a b****king."
