  • Spain looking to utilise experience

Heading into the tournament, qualifying proved tricky due to the form of Scotland and also having Erling Haaland's Norway in the group.

No side has won the tournament more than Spain's three previous trophy wins.

They will go into the competition with one thing on their mind, sealing a fourth Euro trophy.

  • Les Bleus looking to continue fine form

Didier Deschamps will be looking for his France side to challenge for the Euro 2024 crown in Germany, hoping to win it for the first time since 2000.

Having finished top of Group B, France beat Gibraltar 14-0 in qualifying.

Having lost in the final of the 2023 World Cup in Qatar, Deschamps will be hoping they can go one better in Germany.

  • Southgate arrives at draw in Hamburg

England manager Gareth Southgate has arrived at the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Germany.

Looking to see who his side are drawn against in next summer's Euro 2024 tournament.

He will be hoping to go one better than last time where his side were beaten on penalties by Italy.

  • Ageing like a fine wine

Cristiano Ronaldo will go to Germany with his Portugal teammates, feeling they have a squad good enough to challenge for the trophy.

Despite being 38-years-old now, only Romelu Lukaku scored more goals in qualifying than the ex-Real Madrid striker.

With the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Neves Portugal can cause anyone problems in Euro 2024.

  • Clarke hoping to make dreams come true

After looking so impressive in qualifying, losing only one game in their group, Steve Clarke will go to Germany in confident mood.

With the crop of players they currently have, having defeated Spain in their group, Scotland should not fear anyone they face.

It has been some time since Scottish fans have had a tournament to remember but it could well come next summer.

  • Azzurri looking to make a statement

Despite an unconvincing qualifying campaign, Italy head to Germany feeling they have a point to prove:

After all the difficulties we have had, we will be in Germany and we will be going there as reigning champions and going there to win.

  • Teams looking to avoid dangerous draw

Incredibly, Euro 2020 champions Italy find themselves in pot four in the draw later in Hamburg.

It offers a real nightmare to teams as they find out their fate.

Despite form, Italy has a knack of turning up when it matters and nobody will want to see their name drawn out in their group.

  • Time to prove your abilities

England won their group convincingly and go into the Euro 2024 tournament as joint-favourites with France.

This is a golden-generation at Gareth Southgate's disposal and getting to semi-finals and finals without winning a trophy is not good enough.

Many point towards the manager's record as England manager but qualifiers, Nations League games and friendlies don't cut the mustard.

There is far more international football than ever before, it is to be expected that modern day managers would have better records than their predecessors.

With the quality available to them, England should be winning trophies, if Southgate cannot deliver then the FA need to think about a change.

  • The trophy they all want to win

Euro 2024 offers a chance for a lot of countries to win the major trophy they all crave.

There has never been a more open tournament with many of the unfancied teams seeing this as their chance to upset the odds.

Whoever wins it, it may take the whole squad to lift this trophy, quite literally.

  • Pressure on hosts to succeed

Julian Nagelsmann has his work cut out of the German national manager as he takes his side into Euro 2024.

Incredibly, they have lost six games in 2023, including a 4-1 defeat against Japan.

The German FA will not accept any excuses, they expect the winning mentality to return in the national side.

  • Playoffs to still be decided

Many teams are still hoping to book their place in Germany.

    Path A Semi-Finals:

Poland vs Estonia / Wales vs Finland

    Path B Semi-Finals:

Israel vs Iceland / Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Ukraine
