Real Madrid star Joselu bizarrely APOLOGISES to fans after scoring against Napoli in Champions League
REAL MADRID star Joselu amazingly APOLOGISED to fans after scoring in last night’s win over Napoli.
Los Blancos were trailing 1-0 at the Bernabeu before Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham scored another landmark goal for the LaLiga giants prior to the break to turn the score on its head.
Napoli drew level moments after half time, but late strikes from Nico Paz and fellow sub Joselu sealed Madrid’s 4-2 Champions League triumph.
However, the former Newcastle and Stoke City flop raised eyebrows with his reaction to the 94th-minute goal.
Instead of celebrating, Joselu proceeded to do a praying gesture towards home fans in what appeared to be some sort of apology.
The 33-year-old, who was assisted by England superstar Bellingham, had missed a number of chances since his arrival off the bench and hit the headlines at the weekend with an incomprehensible mind blank moment against Cadiz.

But while he seemed to be saying sorry for his spurned opportunities to the Bernabeu faithful, one team-mate was quickly on the scene to put things right.
Bellingham pushed Joselu towards the supporters behind the goal in order for him to receive a special ovation.
He was then mobbed by the rest of the Madrid team in a touching moment from the Espanyol loanee brought in to replace Karim Benzema during the summer.
That was Joselu’s sixth goal of the season from 18 matches and Bellingham explained afterwards why he went to such efforts to ensure the experienced ace got the recognition he felt he deserved.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund and Birmingham City midfielder, 20, said: “It’s about pushing your team-mate, your friend, the soldier next to you over the line.
“We know what he can do when the ball’s delivered in the right area.
“Tonight he put a few wide but that’s the life of a striker.
“It was important for me to look for him more than anything. Especially in that area of the pitch, I’m happy for him.”
