Phil Taylor rages at ‘terrible’ plan to change PDC World Darts as Fallon Sherrock says ‘it sent my eyes weird’

The Power, 63, says just one player will 'love' the change

LEGEND Phil Taylor has rubbished plans to change the colour of the treble 20 on World Championship dartboards, saying: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Paddy Power — new sponsors of the PDC showpiece — want to tinker with the configuration of the Winmau boards at Ally Pally this month.

The highest-scoring lipstick on a standard dartboard — which carries 60 points — is traditionally RED and has been so since the sport was first played in smoky pubs.

But in a cheeky, mischief-making move, the Dublin-based bookmakers have proposed to alter the colour to GREEN — in honour of their Emerald Isle background.

It has left oche stars feeling confused with Fallon Sherrock, Queen of the Palace, claiming this week the new-look boards were “actually sending my eyes really weird”.

And sporting icon Taylor — winner of 16 world titles — is not a fan.

The Power, 63, said: “I don’t like it. Not one bit.

“Nothing against Paddy Power. But don’t change what is not broken in my opinion.

“I think it will be terrible on your eyes personally.
