  • Sherrock's MBE

Fallon Sherrock spoke of her nerves when meeting Prince William to receive an MBE earlier this month.

She said that the experience of meeting the royal was far more nervy than any experience she's had in her arrows career.

She said: "I’ve never been so nervous in my life. I was like: ‘Don’t fall over.’ I was in high heels – and I never normally wear them.

“We had a minute’s conversation and the Prince said he had watched me. I was like, has he seen me on TV? Does he know who I am? I was getting proper shy.

“He did say something about darts is a great sport to go to the pub and watch.

She has been drawn against Jermaine Wattimena in the first round of the World Championships.

  • Smith has his say on his first opponent

Reigning champion Michael Smith has had his say on the draw for his second round opener of the World Darts Championships.

He will play either Stowe Buntz or Kevin Doets in his opener.

He said: "Whoever wins that first game then has to play again against me.

“I’m in a luxurious position where I can sit back and watch their game and know what to expect. I’m only preparing for one match.

“If it’s Buntz, I might have to get some tinted contact lenses. He’s going to be very bright and very loud."

Buntz is known for his outrageous array of outfits and is one of the most colourful characters on the circuit.
