THE SAN PLAN

How new Man Utd appointment could help speed up Jadon Sancho’s exit and seal transfer to European giants

Juventus are keen for a loan deal in January but that could lead to them paying a sizeable fee in the summer

JADON SANCHO could move closer to a Juventus switch if Jean-Claude Blanc replaces Richard Arnold at Manchester United, according to reports.

Sancho, 23, has not featured for the Red Devils since a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag in which the forward claimed he was being made a "scapegoat".

The ex-Borussia Dortmund man looks set to leave Old Trafford in January - either on loan or permanently.

It comes as Sir Jim Ratcliffe prepares to claim a 25 per cent stake in Man Utd.

One of the billionaire's first actions in charge of football operations at the club will be to replace chief executive Arnold, 52.

Arnold has already confirmed he will depart before the end of the year.

And while Patrick Stewart, Man Utd's general counsel, is set to be named interim CEO, Ratcliffe is already said to be lining up Blanc, 60, as the long-term successor.

This could have implications for Sancho as the Frenchman - who is CEO of Ratcliffe's Ineos Sport - has strong links with Juventus.

Blanc was chief executive of the Serie A giants for five years.

According to , his arrival could push along the speed of Sancho's Old Trafford exit as Man Utd look to offload him in the mid-season window.

Up to now,, Man Utd have refused to enter negotiations with Juventus.

They would prefer to secure a permanent transfer as they look to recoup some of the £73million they spent on the Englishman in 2021.

But if they cannot obtain a fee for the forward, they could settle for a loan deal with Juventus.

This could then turn into a £60m permanent move in the summer if Man Utd are willing to pay half of his £350,000-a-week wages for the remainder of this season.

Sancho has contributed just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for Man Utd.

He has also not received an England cap since October 2021.

Along with Juventus, Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have also shown interest.
