NOVAK DJOKOVIC saw his 19-match unbeaten run come to an end at the ATP Finals on Tuesday.
The World No1 suffered a 5-7, 7-6, 6-7 group stage defeat to home favourite Jannik Sinner in Turin.
Fans watching the action unfold on centre court voiced their support for the Italian throughout, while Djokovic faced the brunt of a hostile reception.
However, the 24-time Grand Slam winner responded by revelling in the hostility and conducting the crowd.
Fans took to X to react, with one person writing: "This disrespectful crowd here in Torino are so naive. Every time the boos come out, Djokovic takes it and turns it into his fuel. Y’all don’t learn 🤣."
Another commented: "Well done Novak Djokovic. Don't let it get to you. Those people who boo you will never understand anything about tennis and life."

A third wrote: "Djokovic doing that thing where he tries his very best to get the whole crowd against him and boo."
A fourth fan added: "Only a genius like @DjokerNole would create a symphony out of the jeers and boos of haters. Don’t be like the haters: be like Djokovic."
While a fifth said: "I’m 100% convinced people who boo Djokovic during matches are actually fans and they just want to watch him to switch into THAT gear and drop a I’m HIM performance."
After the match, Sinner admitted that he was thrilled with the result.
