Pietreczko then pulled one back in front of a Greaves-supporting crowd - putting his hand to his ear in an attempt to goad the fans shortly before he won the leg.

But it did not affect Greaves one bit as she completed the rout by winning the next three legs in the first-to-five format.

Speaking after her sensational victory, she told : "I can't really explain it.

"What a feeling. It is just great to finally get over the line.

"I scored really well. I have been playing really well and it is just great to be the one who is in front. It is a relief I think."

In response, one social media user said: "Beau Greaves you are f***ing incredible."

While another simply added: "Phenomenal 😍😍."

The result sees Greaves, who has no world ranking, sit second in Group H, ahead of Pietreczko and Damon Heta but behind the already qualified Nathan Aspinall.

Nicknamed Beau ’n Arrow, Greaves came on most people’s radar in January 2022 when she won the £25,000 WDF women’s darts title at Lakeside.

Then at the end of last year, she became the youngest woman to play in the PDC World Darts Championship.

The Doncaster thrower came from nowhere to win eight titles in a row in the Women’s Series – including a 52-game unbeaten run – which secured her spot in the 2022/23 tournament.

She was beaten 3-0 in the first round by William O'Connor.
