Battered and bloody face of bare-knuckle boxer involved in ‘hardcore fight’ leaves fan blasting ‘stupid sport’

MMA star Jason Knight was left in a battered and bruised state following his fight with Randy Costa on Friday night.

Knight and Costa were competing in Gamebred Bareknuckle 6 being held in Mississippi, USA.

The fight ended in less than two minutes as debutant Knight was beaten to a bloody pulp by fellow UFC veteran Costa.

The American landed a few punches in the opening exchanges but could not live with Costa's precision and combinations.

And after 101 seconds this saw Knight, 31, knocked out by Costa, also 31.

Taking to Instagram following the fight, Knight praised his opponent as a "class act".

He also shared the image of his post-fight face.

Knight said: "Finally made it back to my room from the hospital. All stitched up! after a CT scan I found out I have a broken bone in the lower part of my orbital!

"Also lost a few more teeth but at the end of the day, it is what it is! Cannot have picked a better man to lose to @randy_costa was a class act and I will be rooting for him from now on!"

Fans seemed to have mixed reactions from the aftermath of the fight and given Knight's brutal injuries.

One fan said: "That was a hardcore fight."

A second said: "Seriously thanks to both of you (for putting on a good show)."

On the other hand, one said: "Such a stupid sport."

A second said: "YIKES, that lip cut is crazy."

A third added: "Ohh, men, this is rough to see. He has horrible damage to his face."

While another said: ";Sadly, no chance his earnings will cover the medical expenses."
