UFC 295 LIVE RESULTS: Tom Aspinall brutally KO’s Pavlovich to win interim HW title as Pereira STOPS Prochazka
UFC returned to Madison Square Garden for a STACKED UFC 295 show.
Jiri Prohazka took on Alex Pereira for the vacant light-heavyweight title.
But his eagerly-anticipated comeback fight ended in a second-round TKO defeat.
And in the co-main event, British superstar Tom Aspinall knocked out Sergei Pavlovich to claim the interim UFC interim heavyweight title.

Jon Jones breaks silence
Jon Jones has responded to Tom Aspinall's demolition of Sergei Pavlovich.
He tweeted: Tom congratulations on the interim heavyweight championship belt!
"That was an awesome performance!"
Hero's welcome
Tom Aspinall was given a hero's welcome by UK MMA fans waiting outside the fighter hotel in Manhattan.
Prochazka breaks silence
Jiri Prochazka has dismissed suggestions of referee Marc Goddard's stoppage of his clash with Alex Pereira being premature.
He said: "I think, in that end, it was right. I was out.
"But I will never stop, I will never stop.
"If I will die, my body will still work. So s**t happens. It doesn't matter."
Aspinall's plea to Jon Jones
Tom Aspinall has begged Jon Jones to give him the chance to try and unify the division.
He said: "Just give me the opportunity, Jon. Let me do it. Give me my dream fight, why not?
"I just achieved my dream now, give me my dream fight and let me fight for my legacy now, please."
Bisping's reaction to Aspinall's win
Michael Bisping - the UK's first UFC champion - was overcome with joy after seeing Tom Aspinall knockout Sergei Pavlovich.
The former middleweight champion and Hall-of-Famer leapt out of his seat and was lost for words after his initial outpouring of emotion.
Aspolutely confident
Tom Aspinall is confident he'll do a number on Jon Jones if he gets to fight the undisputed heavyweight champion.
He said: " I don't think I did much wrong for him to be like, 'That's an easy fight.' If I hit anybody square in the face, they're going to go to sleep. It's as simple as that.
And Jon knows that. That's no disrespect to Jon, I absolutely love Jon, he's one of my favourite fighters of all time and I absolutely look up to him.
"But I want to fight him and I think I can win."
Back attack
Tom Aspinall has revealed that he knocked Sergey Pavlovich out with a bad back.
He said: "I actually pulled my back and didn't really train at all.
"I injured it the first week after I found about the fight. I've not been able to train for the last week and a half."
Stadium show incoming?
UFC president Dana White has seemingly changed his stance on doing a stadium show in the UFC following Tom Aspinall's stunning win over Sergei Pavlovich.
The veteran promoter says there is now a chance the promotion stages a massive show at in one of Britain's many stadiums - with Wembley a real contender

Tom Aspinall has revealed he'd love to face UFC legend Jon Jones at Wembley in a historic unification bout.
"I think the Jon Jones fight is the one to make."

An emotional Tom Aspinall quickly dedicated his amazing title win to his dad Andy.
He said: "This man right here has been with me my whole life, so this belt is dedicated to my father.
"I was struggling with the distance a little bit, his arms are really long so it felt a bit funny but we got there."

Tom Aspinall was overcome with a way of emotion after claiming the interim heavyweight title.
He said: "It’s been a crazy two and a half weeks.
"I just want to say to anyone if you get a chance to do something, do it because it will f****ng pay off.
"He’s a big scary guy, I've never been as scared before fighting this guy but I've got a lot of power too."

Alex Pereira has just TKO'd Jiri Prochazka to become the new UFC light-heavyweight champion.
He dropped Prochazka wth a big hook and forced the Czech clubber to shoot for a takedown.
He followed up with elbows and punches in tight that forced Prochazka to his back.
And referee Marc Goddard promptly called a halt to the contest.
The stoppage, in my opinion, looked premature.
Prochazka vs Pereira – Round 2
Prochazka returned the calf kick favour early in the second but Pereira was unmoved by the strike.
Unmoved was something Prochazka wasn't when Pereira landed a stiff one-two flush on the chin.
Pereira found himself being cheered as he landed another calf kick.
Poatan soon found himself on the back of the fence avoiding unorthodox flurry after unorthodox flurry from 'Denisa'.
Pereira drops Prochazka with a left hook that forces the Czechman to close the distance.
He lands more shots - a mix of elbows and punches - in tight. Prochazka goes down again - it's over!
Prochazka vs Pereira - Round 1
Both men were cautious early doors as they looked to get reads on one another as the crowd wooed.
Pereira invested in the low calf kick well several times in the early goings and dropped the former champion with a scything blow after eating an uppercut.
Prochazka's movement didn't seem to be too compromised as he looked to secure a takedown.
He briefly had his head trapped in a guillotine but managed to transition to a big takedown and transition into half guard.
Pereira eventually got back to his feet before the horn, much to the delight of the crowd.

Here we go, five rounds for the light-heavyweight title between Jiri Prochazka and and Alex Pereira.

Aspinall was light on his feet and opened up with a hard low kick to the calf of the Russian.
Aspinall is looking to us efeints early doors as he avoids the nuclear power of Pavlovich.
But he finds his chin tested by a hard two punch combo before avoiding a flurry of punches.
Aspinall is doing well to avoid the fire coming back his way. Huge counter hook drops Pavlovich.

That, of course, is Tom Aspinall's crack at interim heavyweight gold.
Standing between the burly Brit and becoming Britain's third UFC titleholder is Russian wrecking machine Sergei Pavlovich.
Will the Wigan warrior be able to snap the six-fight win streak of of ferocious Russian wrecking machine?

Andrade wins
Jessica Andrade is back in the win column with a massive, massive TKO win over Mackenzie Dern.
She's just stopped her fellow Brazilian with a thrilling display in the second, in which she dropped her three times.
A huge right hand just after the three-minute mark closed the show.
Dern vs Andrade – Round 2
These ladies are giving it absolutely everything. Props to Dern for still wading into the fire after being badly hurt in the previous round.
She gets dropped again midway through the round but gets back to her feet.
But she comes roaring back before getting dropped again. Andrade, wisely, lets her get back to her feet.
And she closes the show with another big right-hand that floors her countrywoman and forces ref Keith Petersen to wave off the contest.
Dern vs Andrade - Round 1
Andrade is not being her usual aggressive self and adopting to take a cautious approach to taking out her fellow countrywoman.
She steps her foot on the gas midway through the second and briefly drops and advancing Dern.
Dern works hard for a takedown in the final minute but sees her effort stuffed.
Andrade drops Dern with a huge hook with seconds of the round remaining. She goes in for the kill but is stopped by the horn.
Strawweights on deck
We return to the strawweight division for a Battle of Brazil.
Former champion Jessica Andrade will bid to snap a three-fight skid against countrywoman Mackenzie Dern.
This could very well end up being a passing of the torch.

Benoit Saint-Denis has just knocked Matt Frevola out cold with some vicious ground and pound following a vicious head kick.
'The God of War' has most certainly arrived, folks.
Frevola vs Saint-Denis - Round 1
Frevola seems to be a tad excited here, jumping in somewhat recklessly with his attacks.
Saint-Denis is being calm, cool and composed and investing in the body early doors.
The Frenchman capitalists on a body kick which floored Frevola and jumps on him.
But Frevola jumps back to his feet and lands a big takedown.
But Saint-Denis quickly gets back to his feet and goes back on the hunt.

New York native Matt Frevola is about to take on French savage Benoit Saint-Denis.
