NFL returns to Germany for epic showdown between Super Bowl champion Chiefs and Dolphins in sold-out Frankfurt arena
AMERICAN football took centre stage in Germany this past fortnight as the Super Bowl champions came to Frankfurt.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins squared off at Deutsche Bank Park in a huge NFL showdown last Sunday.
Kansas City are defending champions having won the Super Bowl in February.
And they came up against an impressive Miami Dolphins side with both teams winning six of their opening eight games.
Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes - but the Chiefs were forced to hold on after a second-half fightback.
Kansas City won 21-14 to improve their record to 7-2 this season as Miami fell to 6-3.

And football was back in Frankfurt a week later when the Indianapolis Colts beat the New England Patriots 10-6.
The NFL was back in Germany a year after their extraordinary debut game in the country.
Millions of people applied for tickets when they were released earlier this year.
But just 50,023 lucky fans packed the stadium for the Chiefs-Dolphins game while 50,144 were in attendance for the Colts and Patriots.

Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Seattle Seahawks at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena.
Buccaneers quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady described it as one of the best experiences of his career.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell revealed that the league will expand their international games even further.
London hosted three games in consecutive weekends last month - one at Wembley and two at Tottenham.
Spain has been widely rumoured to be the NFL's next destination in Europe.
Goodell told Sky Sports: "We're looking and analysing where we go next year.
"We will certainly go to a new market next year for sure.
"We're debating on that and I think we'll have a decision in the next 30-45 days.
So we'll be ready to. I think that'll be exciting for us."
