Fans reacted hilariously to the word Jarrod Bowen created during his post-match interview

JARROD BOWEN left fans in stitches by inventing the word "Europeanly" following West Ham's win over Arsenal.

The England international, 26, scored twice as the Hammers beat their London rivals 3-1 in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.

And in post-match interview, Bowen, who suffered a nasty cut during the game, raised eyebrows by uttering a word he appeared to have made up on the spot.

He said: "When you’re in so many cup competitions, both domestically and Europeanly..."

This led to much reaction on social media as people responded to the hilarious remark.

One said: "Jarrod Bowen just coined the word Europeanly."

A third replied: "I, very Europeanly, had an espresso and a chocolate muffin for breakfast 👌🏼."

While a fourth responded: "Superb from Jarrod Bowen 👏."

West Ham also posted a video of Bowen after the game as he praised the fans for their support.

He said: "Hi everyone, massive result for us tonight.

"Really important for us to bounce back from the defeat on the weekend.

"You were all great tonight and we'll see as many of you as we can on Saturday against Brentford."

Bowen now has seven goals and two assists in 13 appearances so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Ham were drawn away at Liverpool in the fifth round of the Carabao Cup.
