Kevin De Bruyne lined up for ‘jaw dropping’ transfer with Man City star sounded out for summer switch

The midfielder could make the move in 2024

KEVIN DE BRUYNE is reportedly being sounded out for a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Manchester City star could be the next player to make a move away from Europe and to the Middle East.

De Bruyne, 32, is currently sidelined for the Premier League champions after picking up a hamstring injury in the season opener against Burnley.

It is not yet known when he will return to Pep Guardiola's side.

However, Saudi Arabian clubs are not being deterred by his injury.

A source has told Football Insider that the midfielder could be in line for a “jaw-dropping” contract offer.

The report claims that De Bruyne is happy at Man City but could be tempted by the money on offer.

He will enter the final 12 months of his contract at the end of the current season.

Talks over a new contract have been halted due while he recovers from his injury.

The report does suggest that De Bruyne and City are in no rush to sort out a new deal at the moment.

The Belgian international was reportedly contacted by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.

Al-Nassr want to explain their long-term project in the hope of convincing the playmaker to make the incredible switch to the Middle East and link up with Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and ex-City pal Aymeric Laporte.

SunSport understands, though, that De Bruyne will reject any big-money offers from Saudi Arabia because he wants to finish his career at the Etihad.
