FANS were left in hysterics after a security guard savagely took out a pitch invader at a Philadelphia Phillies game on Tuesday.
It was a thoroughly successful night for the hosts as they sealed a comprehensive 10-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
But much of the reaction on social media was not related to the baseball game itself.
A clip emerged of a fan bursting onto the pitch and thrusting their hands up in the air as the players made their way off.
Members of security rushed to try and escort the individual off the field.
But one official was taking no prisoners as they launched into the pitch invader with incredible force.
The security guard drove the fan down onto the floor as the stunned crowd could be heard gasping and laughing.
Lefty reliever Jose Alvardo was also left in astonishment as he put his hands on his head in disbelief.
And the main broadcast even caught the Phillies players turning around to look at what had happened as they walked off the field.
Reacting to the incident, one person said: "Can he play safety for the Eagles?
