TOMMY FURY was deducted a point for hitting KSI twice in the back of the head on his way to victory - in a second round that appeared to finish 17 seconds early.

The Love Islander was warned the first time by the referee, but not let off again.

There weren't exactly any complaints from Tommy, with most coming from his raging corner.

It was a poor start from the younger brother of WBC heavyweight king Tyson, with the crowd desperately trying to raise his spirits.

But there was still time for ANOTHER talking point from the round, as the bell appeared to be rang early in the AO Arena in Manchester for those watching on TVs and streams.

With 17 seconds left of the three minutes shown by broadcaster DAZN on their countdown timer, the referee moved in to send the fighters back to their respective corners.

However, all was not as it seemed.

DAZN had decided to pause their timer during the period of Fury being deducted the point.

However, the referee did not alert the timekeeper to stop his watch, and so the clock should have in fact ticked on.

But people watching the broadcast were left confused.

One posted on Twitter: "RD2 KSI vs Fury the round ends at 17 seconds", accompanied by four laughing emojis.

And the countdown clock ending early was spotted by others who were mystified.

But despite the point off, Fury managed to get the decision on the judges' scorecards.

One judge had it a 57-57 draw, the other two in favour of TNT 57-56.

However the result was sensationally CHANGED in the aftermath after the judge who scored it 57-57 had added up their scores wrongly.

It was corrected to meaning Fury won on a unanimous decision.

Speaking after the fight, Fury revealed he had issues in his training camp, and admitted it was a "battle".

KSI was raging after the fight, clearly of the opinion that he was robbed.

The YouTuber said he felt he won the first three rounds and that with the point off too it made him a clear winner.

He then said that not only he wanted a rematch, but that he would "appeal" the result.

Earlier in the night in the co-main event, chaos ensured as Dillon Danis was DISQUALIFIED in his fight against Logan Paul.

There were just SECONDS left of the six-rounder the MMA star appeared to try grab Paul into a chokehold.

He had already previously attempted a takedown of the now-WWE star.
