SHAKIRA took to Instagram to take a swipe at her ex Gerard Pique calling herself 'The Boss' in a horseback photo.
The Colombian superstar shared a snap of her music video for her latest track El Jefe, seemingly hitting back at the football ace.
The singer, 46, dressed in a bright red outfit, is seen riding a horse while below the photo she added El Jefe (The Boss) and a cowboy hat emoji.
The new hit is an apparent nod to the alleged nickname she was given by Pique’s pals.
It appears that Shakira never got on with the footballer's friends who gave her the nickname due to her "bad character" and called her "La Patron" or "The Boss".
Spanish media reported that Pique's new girlfriend 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti fits in with the group much easier than Shakira did.

The clip was filmed in Miami for Shakira and Mexican band Fuerza Régida's new song about a small-town man with dreams of becoming a "boss with potential."
But toward the end of the diss track, Shakira sings: "This song is for you, since you weren't paid severance/Another fart, as always."
And suddenly the former couple's ex-nanny Lili Melgar appears and stares into the camera giving a disapproving look.
The nanny's appearance in Shakira's music clip comes amid claims Pique sacked her without compensation for telling Shakira about his alleged infidelity.
