RANGERS' hunt for a new manager continues as they close in on a successor to Michael Beale.

Beale's ten month tenure was brought to an end last week after a hugely underwhelming start to the season and very poor summer recruitment.

That said, he departs Ibrox with the highest win percentage of any Rangers boss EVER.

Gers already trail Celtic by seven points heading into this next international break, and their job in Europe was made harder with a terrible result at Aris Limassol.

New CEO James Bisgrove has been leading the charge to recruit a new manager, with the short list whittled down to the final couple after initial talks.

Now, they're onto final conversations with the club set to appoint a new manager shortly, with Philippe Clement seemingly the one they want.

Clement's odds have been slashed in the last couple of days following reports he's set to mull over an offer, and he's now 1/5 with Sky Bet.

Next Rangers manager - latest odds

Sky Bet odds to replace Michael Beale

  • Philippe Clement 1/5
  • Kevin Muscat 4/1
  • John Eustace 8/1
  • Steven Davis 20/1
  • Wayne Rooney 20/1
  • Derek McInnes 25/1

SKY BET:

Clement has been out of work after leaving Monaco last season, though has reportedly received offers from Saudi.

Kevin Muscat had been well-fancied and was the initial bookies favourite but his odds had drifted somewhat.

He's definitely not out of contention as its stands though, and his price has actually been clipped back in again.

He's the closest pursuer at 4/1 to make the move to Scotland.

John Eustace has been previously linked to the role and he again was thrust into contention after his sacking from Birmingham at the start of the week.

He almost touched even money, but his 6/4 odds have drifted now to 8/1.

Steven Davis is 20/1 alongside Wayne Rooney with Derek McInnes bigger still at 25/1.
