Nick Faldo believes USA got a 'nasty shock' in their defeat to Europe in the Ryder Cup.

"Zach Johnson took a risk with his six picks. They are great names but I said right from the start that they were all running hot and cold," Faldo told Sky Sports.

"He left out Lucas Glover who had just won two tournaments so I am sure he is hurting over that.

"Whether America thought they could waltz over here because they are bigger and stronger, I don't know, but they got a nasty shock.

"Europe were physically, technically and mentally prepared. They were ready. I said this was going to happen."

Justin Rose have delivered his say on THAT car park row involving Patrick Cantlay's caddie.

Rose admitted: “Things bubbled over for a short minute [last night]. Joe [Cantlay’s caddie] would probably admit that.

"He and Patrick have been absorbing a lot this week with the hats and from the crowd. When your player does something incredible on 18, it is easy to get carried away.

“It’s cliche but hats off to Patrick. He’s tough. Great player.

“I played with Patrick and Joe today and they were perfect gentleman. I threw everything I had at them today. Patrick is a hell of a golfer and a tough competitor.”

Piers Morgan and Paige Spiranac were both left baffled after Rickie Fowler conceded a putt to hand the Ryder Cup to Europe.

Piers was shocked by the gimme, and labelled Fowler "bonkers" for giving up the game.

He tweeted: "I wouldn’t concede this putt to one of my sons, let alone to gift the opposition a Ryder Cup. It’s not ‘good sportsmanship’, it’s bonkers."

Paige, who is a big fan of Fowler, agreed with Piers' view and criticised the American for his concession.

She wrote: "I know Rickie is a nice guy but you don’t concede that putt."

Paige Spiranac broke her silence after the United States' Ryder Cup defeat.

And then she joined in with the hilarious 'Colonel Sanders' meme.

The glamorous former golfer and social media star from Colorado was gutted to see her compatriots beaten 16½-11½ by Team Europe in Rome.

And she tweeted her congratulations to Luke Donald's men who outclassed their American opponents over the three days.
