Andy Murray makes crude gesture in response to Great Britain team-mate drinking beer and singing Proclaimers in his car
ANDY MURRAY was in high spirits after Team GB progressed to the quarter-final of the Davis Cup.
But the Scottish tennis icon's excitement soon fizzled after realising he had to give one of his team-mates a ride home from the qualifying tournament afterwards.
Murray, 36, celebrated in the stands after watching Dan Evans and Neal Skupski seal their place in the last eight following their victory over France on Sunday.
It was a huge night for the Great Britain team as the 2-1 win means they'll progress to the next round in Malaga later this year.
But whilst the night was full of emotions for Murray and co, it didn't take too long for the Dunblane star to lose his cool on his way up the road.
The three-time Grand Slam champion was the designated driver and drove himself and team-mate Jack Draper home from the event.
Murray fancied a quiet journey home after a very chaotic night but his pal had different ideas.
The Scotsman took to social media to share a video of his nightmare trip with the 21-year-old youngster.
In the video, Draper could be seen drinking a can of beer and belting out The Proclaimers' hit 500 Miles as they drove back from Manchester's AO Arena to London.
Murray wasn't best pleased with his antics and shared the footage for his fans to sympathise with.
On his Instagram story, he wrote: "Kids these days 🙄 3 and a half hours of this on the way home....."
The 36-year-old sat in the driver's seat in silence as Draper enjoyed himself.
Murray then showed him the middle finger before carrying on with his long and painful ride home.
The two-time Wimbledon winner had an emotional night on Friday as he revealed he missed his grandmother's funeral to play in the Davis Cup.
Murray came from a set behind to beat rising Swiss star Leandro Riedi 2-1 before paying tribute to his loved one after the victory.
Fighting back tears during his post-match interview, he said: "I'm sorry to my family I'm not able to be there. Gran, this one is for you."
