CARLOS TEVEZ is the latest big name set for a mega money move to China.

The Argentina legend has booked flights to the Far East as he looks to thrash out a big bucks deal with Shanghai Shenhua, according to reports in his native country.

In his final derby for Boca Juniors, Tevez signed off in a fitting fashion for one of the club's all time legends.

He brilliantly assisted Walter Bou for Boca's opener against River Plate, before bagging two goals himself in the second half of their 4-2 away win.

First, he dispossessed River goalkeeper Augusto Batalla to tap into an empty net, and then he curled a screamer into the top corner to give his side the lead.

Boca will play at home to Colon on Sunday in what is almost certain to be Tevez's last ever game for his boyhood club.

Shenhua's move for Tevez is a clear statement of intent and shows they will not be outdone by rivals Shanghai SIPG, who are on the verge of completing a £52million deal for Chelsea attacking midfielder Oscar.

The Brazilian confirmed the deal to Globo today, saying: “It’s 90 per cent right. It just depends on some bureaucratic details.”

That means football in Shanghai in 2017 could have a mouthwatering line-up for fans of both the Premier League and the South American game.

If Tevez makes the move to the city, he could play up front with either former Chelsea striker Demba Ba, who is most famous for his goal at Liverpool, or former Newcastle man Obafemi Martins.

Meanwhile Oscar will star at Shanghai SIPG with Brazil teammate Hulk.

Both Shanghai teams have former Premier League bosses in charge with Oscar set to play under ex-Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas and Tevez to be managed by former Sunderland chief Gustavo Poyet.

But it remains to be seen whether the latest batch of big name signings will be enough for Chinese football to reach it's enormous potential.

The country's domestic league is still played out in front of half-empty stadiums while local bars are packed for Premier League games, and the national team lost 1-0 at home to Syri in the last round of World Cup qualifying.
