He gradually shifted his focus to bodybuilding with a strict gym regimen and diet plan.

Currey's stepped onto the stage at the 2017 World Championships and won fifth place in the pro muscle category.
The following year his career took a major turn when he was crowned with the top spot at the NPC Worldwide Amateur Olympia Italy - gaining his Pro Card.
Currey made a name for himself at several high-profile bodybuilding events, eventually winning the 2022 New York Pro competition.
The bodybuilding ace had previously competed in the New York Pro and Puerto Rico Pro where he came first and third in the Men's Classic Physique category.

The athlete’s death was revealed by his former mentor and fellow bodybuilding star Milos Sarcev.
Sarcev described Currey’s death as “heartbreaking” as he paid tribute online.
He said: “My last/best memory of him was this smiling face after he won New York Pro and fulfilled his lifetime dream of qualifying for the Mr. Olympia.
"I am lost for words and filled with pain and sadness. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. RIP Neil and God bless your soul."
Tributes have poured in online as news of Currey's death emerged.
One fan said: ";Hands down one of my most favourite bodybuilders. Taken away too soon."
Another said they were "saddened" by the athlete's death.
