In truth, the Reds were already strong contenders before the draw.

Then Jurgen Klopp's men were paired with LASK Linz as their second seed, with Union SG and Toulouse making up the remainder.

Liverpool are expected to come through unscathed and are as short as 7/2 with Sky Bet to go all the way and win the tournament.

Last year's beaten finalists Roma are next best at 12/1, with Jose Mourinho eyeing another continental competition.

The Italians have been given a tougher draw with Slavia Praha from Pot 2, Sheriff and Servette - who were dumped into this competition when Rangers beat them in the Champions League third qualifying round.

Brighton are amongst a whole host of clubs who just trail Roma at 14/1 - alongside Atalanta, Marseille and Villarreal.

Roberto de Zerbi's men are likely to be underestimated in Europe, though the draw probably could've been kinder.

The Seagulls - in Pot 3 earlier today - were paired with Ajax, Marseille and AEK Athens.

They'll fancy coming through that though, given their domestic form of the last 16 months or so.

West Ham were the first name out the hat in Group A after securing their spot through that famous Conference League success last term.

They're further down the outright order at 20/1 having paired Olympiacos, Freiburg and TSC Backa Topola.

Rangers were dumped out the Champions League by PSV during the week and have to make do with this competition that they were runners-up in just a couple of years ago.

Given a Pot 1 spot, they managed to draw Real Betis, Sparta Praha and Aris Limassol - though haven't been given a price to win the tournament.
