JOE COLE has let slip a naughty secret from his footballing past.

The Chelsea legend appeared on TV to help with the draw for the Champions League group stage.

Cole was asked to pick the teams out of the hat for all 32 clubs to decide their respective fates in the competition.

Before he got underway he was asked to about his memories this year's final venue, Wembley Stadium.

He said: "It’s very romantic, especially for English players. I played at the old Wembley as well."

However, the 41-year-old then revealed he had snuck into the old Wembley without a ticket as a child.

A mischievous grin shot across his face as he went on to lift the lid on his childhood memories of the ground.

He joked: "I used to live not far from it (Wembley) and I used to sneak in when I didn’t have my ticket."

Fortunately, glamorous TNT Sports host Reshmin Chowdhury chuckled at the admission before replying: "We’ll let you off."

Following the revelation, fans rushed to share their thoughts online.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Joe Cole just admitted he used to sneak into Wembley stadium without a ticket lmao."

A second declared: "Arrest Joe Cole immediately for sneaking into Wembley."

"Arrest Joe Cole for his crimes," joked a third.

A fourth remarked: "Joe Cole only spoke for one minute, but still managed tell about how he used to sneak into Wembley without
a ticket & hopes for favorable draws for English teams…

"Nahhh this man has NEVER been media-trained 😭."

Cole also left fans in hysterics after pulling a face of horror when he pulled Crvena Zvezda, also known as Red Star Belgrade, out of the hat.

Presenter Pedro Pinto joked that the former England international was "playing it safe" with his choice of phrasing.

The Serbian club is referred to as Red Star Belgrade in English-speaking countries whereas in its homeland is called Crvena Zvezda.

Despite Cole's admission and antics, fans were left devastated that the draw will never be the same again, with the Champions League set for a restructure next season.
