The 26-year-old, who left Ibrox in the summer on a free transfer to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce, has sent the national press into a frenzy with his bizarre advertisement.

Media outlet suggest that Kent is in the market for a "babysitter" for his crocodile now he has settled in Istanbul after five years in Scotland.

The job is said to come with a $3,000 salary and health insurance, an offer which another outlet described as "astonishing".

Turkish site  say Kent is "known to have a special interest in wild animals".

This should come as no shock to fans of the Gers who will be familiar with the Englishman's unorthodox style.

Ibrox skipper James Tavernier once revealed that the forward owned TWO crocodiles during his time in Glasgow.

He even bought former Rangers teammate Nikola Katic a small snake for Christmas back in 2018 as an unconventional Secret Santa gift.

Kent has made four appearances so far this season for Fenerbahce, scoring on his debut in Europa Conference League qualifying.

He only managed three goals for the Gers in his last season at the club.

He penned an emotional farewell to the Ibrox faithful upon leaving.

Kent wrote on social media: “Thank you to all the Rangers fans.

“My time at Ibrox is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

“As a Liverpool academy player I followed Steven and Mick on loan - but that soon became five years as I immediately fell in love with the club and fans.

“I  have made some memories that I will look back on with great happiness.

“As a kid it is a dream to play in European competitions, win leagues and cups.

“But to do that in front of the Ibrox crowds is something else entirely, it’s a privilege.
