The Hammers had agreed to a £30million deal for Maguire earlier in the window, but the move collapsed.

This was because Maguire, 30, demanded a massive £15m pay-off to leave Old Trafford.

West Ham have remained interested in the England international and re-opened talks over a loan move.

However, according to Sky Sports, a move is currently off, with Maguire's pay-off demands being the "sticking point".

The report claims that because of Maguire's demands, he will stay at Manchester United instead.

He has two years left of his current deal at Old Trafford, which would be worth £19.7m.

Man United offered Maguire £6m to leave the club. However, he does not believe that amount is enough.

Maguire was stripped of his captaincy and replaced by Bruno Fernandes this summer.
