New pictures show progress at Everton stadium with £500m development set to be ready for next season
EVERTON'S stunning new £500million stadium is beginning to take shape, new pictures have shown.
The new ground is set to be open for the start of next season.
Fans are giving Goodison Park a farewell campaign with them ready to leave their home after 132 years.
The 39,414 seater will be switched for a more modern 52,888 capacity arena.
The new ground is built on the docks of the city next to a waste water treatment plant.
It is only two miles up the road from their spiritual home.

Tragically, construction worker Michael Jones, 26, died from head injuries he suffered in an accident on the site on the 14 August.
Workers on the site, where work was temporarily halted following the death, have been offered counselling while fans paid tribute at the weekend to the lifelong Everton supporter.
The new stadium is expected to become the heart of an exciting new area for the community containing shops, housing and bars and restaurants.
