You’re a genius if you can guess which Premier League strugglers are fifth highest transfer spenders in the WORLD
CHELSEA have spent considerably more than any other club in the world in the last calendar year.
The Blues come out on top of the list of the top spenders having a net spend of £451million - however there are six other Premier League clubs in the top ten.
Chelsea have spent close to £1bn in the last year since Todd Boehly's arrival with players such as Moises Caiedo and Enzo Fernandez arriving for over £100m each..
Mykhailo Mudryk was another big signing with Chelsea forking out £88m to sign the young Ukranian in January.
Other splurges include the £75m signing of Wesley Fofana and £62m purchase of Marc Cucurella.
The West London club have managed to earn some money back through player sales with Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic being sold for a combined fee of £142.85m.

Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal is the next biggest spender with a net spend of £282m with the club completing high-profile deals to sign Neymar, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Malcom and Bono.
However, the club has only brought in £1m from player sales, which came from Gustavo Cueller's exit to Al-Shabab.
Arsenal are third on the list with the club adding £105m midfielder Declan Rice, Havertz, and Jurrien Timber to the team this summer.
The Gunners also added David Raya on loan from Brentford, but these deals followed the purchases of Jorginho and Leandro Trossard in January.

Mikel Arteta's side has a net spend of £228m having also made some money back from the sales of Granit Xhaka and Matt Turner.
Real Madrid take the fourth spot having spent big on Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, and Fran Garcia.
Los Blancos have also forked out loan fees for Kepa Rrizabalaga and Joselu.
The next club comes as a shock on the list as Premier League strugglers Bournemouth.
The Cherries were taken over by American businessman Bill Foley in 2022 and he spent in January to make sure of the club's Premier League survival.
He has since bankrolled new manager Andoni Iraola to a £100m transfer spend this summer.
The South Coast side have added Leeds star Tyler Adams, Sassuolo winger Hamed Junior Traore and Bristol City's Alex Scott all for fees of over £20m.
Al-Ahli are the second Saudi side on the list in 6th place having spent over £150m on Riyad Mahrez, Roger Ibanez, Allan Saint-Maximin, Merih Demiral, Eduoard Mendy and Franck Kessie.
The top ten is then rounded off by Prem sides Newcastle, Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
