Hall, 18, was expected to be loaned out this summer, with Palace having been close to agreeing a temporary switch.

But amid Chelsea's enormous transfer outlay, the claim that the academy graduate could now leave on a permanent basis.

The left-sided starlet made 12 appearances for the Blues' first team last season.

He featured primarily as a left-back or wing-back for the senior squad.

But he was mainly deployed in midfield during his academy days.

Hall is viewed as a huge prospect by players and staff at Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea having spent over £900m since Todd Boehly's arrival, however, club chiefs are feeling pressure to cash in on Cobham stars.

When it comes to meeting Financial Fair Play regulations - academy sales represent pure profit.

Cobham success stories Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu have already left the club this summer.

While Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi could also join them out the door.

Hall became the latest in a prestigious line of starlets to earn Chelsea's Academy Player of the Year award earlier this year.

Since its introduction in 2015, the gong has been won by Dominic Solanke, Fikayo Tomori, Mount, Reece James, Gallagher, Billy Gilmour, Tino Livramento and Harvey Vale.

Should Chelsea fail to receive their £30m asking price, Hall could still be loaned out.

Palace are interested in signing him as cover for injured England international Tyrick Mitchell.

Hall is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2026.
