William Hill punter lands audacious 11-fold football accumulator to scoop over £11,000 thanks to late Hartlepool winner
THERE'S no better feeling as a football fan than your own team banging in a 89th minute winner.
The second best feeling? Watching another team sweep home a late winner to land you a huge return from your acca!
And that was exactly the feeling one William Hill punter was lucky enough to experience over the weekend.
Their £5 Saturday 11-fold landed thanks to a late, late Hartlepool winner - which bagged them a colossal £11,059.31!
As you'd probably expect, it didn't come without its tense moments, particularly as five of the selections won by a single goal.
Crystal Palace, Leicester, Gillingham and Notts County joined Hartlepool in winning by a solitary goal.
While Ipswich, Derby, Bolton, Stevenage, Mansfield and Boreham Wood were much more convincing winners.
Notts County battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 down to see off Grimsby 3-2 in their first home game since returning to the Football League.

And with so many games on a knife-edge late on, it was Hartlepool - drawing 1-1 with Gateshead - that looked set to let it down.
Pool were reduced to ten men when 1-0 up on 54 minutes when Josh Umerah was shown a straight red card.

Gateshead equalised with a quarter of the game to go and it looked like Hartlepool - relegated into the division last year - would have to settle for a point.
That was, before Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scored his second of the day in the 89th minute to earn Hartlepool their first win of the season - and this punter a bumper pay out.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “English football can be incredibly unpredictable at times, especially so early in the season, making this one of the most inspired bets we are likely to see this season.
“The closing minutes of the Hartlepool versus Gateshead match must have been nail-biting as the other results were coming in, and Emmanuel Dieseruvwe’s winner in the final few minutes saw one of our punters bag an £11k pay-out from just a £5 stake.”
