The balding former England captain was honoured with a CBE for his charity work.
The Premier League all-time top goalscorer, with 260 strikes, was presented with the honour by FA President Wills.
The Match of the Day pundit wrote on Twitter: "Very honoured and proud to receive my CBE today in recognition of my charity work.
"Thank you to everyone who supports me."
Shearer, 46, took his family along for the last investiture of the year.
