MITCHELL HOOPER has taken the strongman scene by storm and has certainly made a name for himself since his debut in the sport.
The Canadian was even crowned the World's Strongest Man at his second attempt.

Who is World's Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper?
Mitchell Hooper is a strongman competitor from Canada.
He was born on September 29, 1995, in Ontario.
Mitchell studied at the University of Guelph, where he graduated with a degree in human kinetics.
It was here where Hooper became interested in bodybuilding, as well as playing football and running marathons.

He then became a strength and conditioning coach for the KW Titans, a Canadian professional basketball team.
The sportsman later moved to Australia and studied for his masters in clinical exercise physiology from the University of Sydney.
Now, as well as his strongman training, Mitchell works as a physical therapist, specialising in strength and conditioning.
He also runs his own kinesiology clinic in Barrie, where he lives with his wife Ashley and their dogs Murphy and Lacy.

How long has Mitchell Hooper competed as a strongman?
While living in Australia, Mitchell began powerlifting and within six months he had won the national championship.
He then transitioned into strongman training and in 2021 won the ACT Strongest Man and NSW Strongest Man competitions.

In 2022, Hooper came eighth at the World's Strongest Man.
He then won the contest in 2023, becoming the first Canadian in World's Strongest Man history to win the final.
Hooper finished second in the 2024 World's Strongest Man competition.
What other competitions has Mitchell Hooper won?
In 2022, Hooper won the Giants Live World Tour Finals and the Arnold UK.
He then won the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2023 on his debut, the same year he won World’s Strongest Man.
Hooper became the fourth person in history to win these two events in the same year.
Other strongmen who achieved this feat are Brian Shaw, Žydrūnas Savickas and Hafthor Björnsson.
In an extremely successful year, Mitchell went on to defend his Arnold Classic title in 2024.
He also placed first in the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series, Rogue Invitational, World Open, US Strongman Championship, and World Tour Finals.
He won the title of the Strongest Man On Earth after coming second in 2023.
Mitchell has opened up about his rapid rise to success and his lack of concern for his fellow competitors with more experience, admitting: "At this stage, I'd say I don't really worry about other guys".
He told the US Sun: "In every era of the sport there's different guys who are unbelievable and you can say it's a particularly tough era, but in a particularly tough era I had the most successful rookie year of all time.

"So, is it that tough for me? It hasn't proven to be so I don't see why I wouldn't be able to be up there.
"They know that I'm there as well, they know that I'm coming for them."
