Mohamed Salah’s agent breaks silence on Saudi transfer after Liverpool linked with shock £60m exit

LIVERPOOL superstar Mohamed Salah's agent has rubbished rumours linking his client with a move to Saudi Arabia as he "remains committed" to the Kop.

Salah was sensationally touted as the latest star targeted by Saudi supremos with reports suggesting Al-Ittihad are keeping tabs.

The same sources claimed the Saudi Pro League champions are willing to splash £60million and pay the winger a whopping £155m in wages over a two-year deal.

However, the Egypt international's agent Ramy Abbas Issa has poured cold water on those rumours.

The 31-year-old's rep insists they would have never agreed to sign a new deal with Liverpool last year if they knew they wanted to leave this summer.

Issa : "If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer.

"Mohamed remains committed to LFC."

Salah penned a bumper new £400,000-a-week contract with the Reds until 2025 last year.

The Merseysiders have already lost two key players to Saudi Arabia with Jordan Henderson reuniting with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq and Fabinho joining the Egyptian's bidders.

Al-Ittihad have also landed Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Jota this summer.

Saudi Arabia have attracted a number of other stars ever since the Public Investment Fund, which owns a majority stake at Newcastle, took over four clubs.

Those are Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, shortly after Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Middle East.

The likes of Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Riyad Mahrez have also signed for Saudi clubs.
