West Brom to tie Chris Brunt down to new contract after incredible return to form following knee injury
WEST BROMWICH ALBION will look to tie down their impressive Northern Irishman Chris Brunt in January who has been a major factor as to why the Baggies are chasing a Europa League place.
Brunt's existing deal will expire in the summer and manager Tony Pulis does not want to lose a player of the 31 year old's influence.
As reported by the In nine days Brunt will turn 32 so the next contract he signs may well be the most important one he ever does and with an extension offer on the table the midfielder could enter his 11th season at the club come next August.
Pulis has been impressed by the remarkable comeback made by Brunt who missed the European Championships due to a cruciate ligament injury .
The impact the player has had has been astonishing with West Brom winning three of four unbeaten games that has propelled the midlands side up to seventh in the Premier League.
Brunt joined the club back in 2007 and the club will look at giving him a joint testimonial with James Morrison who signed in the same summer transfer window.
Goalkeeper Ben Foster will also be offered a new deal, the former Manchester United goalkeeper's current deal runs out in 2018 and Foster has produced some of his best displays this season.
It all seemed doom and gloom when supporters voiced their concerns over Pulis being given a new deal to stay on at the club but the fans can have nothing to moan about at the moment.
