FOOTBALL fans can’t believe a Premier League cult hero is still playing.
That’s after the 38-year-old scored a pre-season goal for a club playing in England’s seventh tier.
Leroy Lita was once a top name in the Premier League, turning out for clubs including Reading and Swansea after coming through the ranks at Chelsea.
He also played several seasons in the Championship for teams including Brighton, Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday.
But despite his 39th birthday being on the horizon, Lita is still playing in the English football league system.
The veteran pulled on his boots for a second stint with Nuneaton Borough last night.

But Lita’s experience shone through as he opened the scoring in a 4-0 win for Nuneaton.
Coventry City tweeted the moment he netted in the 24th minute.
And footy fans reacted in delight, with many stunned that Lita was still starring in the beautiful game.
