David Luiz shrugs off Sergio Aguero lunge that resulted in red card during Chelsea win over Manchester City as ‘quite normal frustration’
DAVID LUIZ has swept his clash with Sergio Aguero under the carpet - saying the tackle was borne of frustration.
However, the Manchester City striker is now facing a four-game ban after his straight red in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea, while Luiz was lucky to come out of the challenge without being seriously injured.
Luiz said of the incident: ''Aguero is an amazing player, he scores a lot, he wins a lot.
"It is better when you talk about Aguero to talk about good things rather than bad things.
''It is quite normal frustration when you don't win the game and I don't like to speak about negative things. It is normal in football - when you win you be happy, when you lose you be sad.''
Both sides could now face extra disciplinary action from the FA as they failed to control their players in the reaction to the tackle.
There did seem to be real intent with the tackle Aguero made and it's hard to see that it wasn't intentional when you look back a the pair's previous.
