Jorginho says N’Golo Kante ‘might kill me’ for telling story about how ‘tight’ ex-Chelsea star is with money
ARSENAL star Jorginho reckons former Chelsea team-mate N’Golo Kante “might kill me.”
That’s after revealing a hilarious story joking about how “tight” the World Cup winner is with money.
Jorginho, 31, and Kante, 32, starred together in Chelsea’s midfield for almost five years, winning the Europa and Champions League together.
They have since gone their separate ways, with Jorginho joining Arsenal in January and Kante signing for Al-Ittihad last month.
But the pair remain great friends.
And Jorginho has now lifted the lid on the time Kante, who was once spotted doing his weekly shop at Asda, “forgot” to pay him for a CAR.
The French ace famously drives around a Mini, even sticking behind its wheel after it was smashed during an accident.
Speaking to , Jorginho revealed he once sold Kante a vehicle at Cobham.
However, after checking his bank account some time later, the Italian Euro winner discovered the money from Kante had not dropped.
Jorginho asked about the payment, to which Kante replied he had simply “forgotten” to send the cash.
Jorginho then said: “You forgot? You drive the car every day!”
Kante then asked Jorginho if he could wait until he got paid at the end of the month before sending the dosh – despite being on £300,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge.
But Jorginho laughed this off, saying: “Are you kidding me? [Pay me in] two days.”
To his credit, Kante followed through with the payment.
And Jorginho finished the tale by laughing: “As everyone knows, he is very tight.
“I love him. [But] he might kill me.”
It’s not the first time Kante tried getting out of paying.
Former team-mates Willian and David Luiz hilariously revealed Kante always tried refusing to pay for his dinner when eating at their Italian restaurant Babbo.
Luiz said: “They love it because normally they come here and don’t want to pay. Especially N’Golo…”
Willian added: “If you ask N’Golo ‘pay’, he does like that… ‘Yeah? I have to pay? Oh no! You and David you’re good, you have a good heart.”
Luiz noted: “Even if I say it in front of them, he says ‘I’m not gonna pay.’”
