ASHES hero Stuart Broad has revealed the sneaky move he made to change his fortunes.
During day two of the Fifth Ashes test at the Oval, Broad was down on his luck taking wickets.
However, in an attempt to change his fortunes, Broad flipped the bails over on the stumps.
Aussie batter Marnus Labuschagne was not a huge fan of the move despite initially sharing a laugh with Usman Khawaja.
But in the very next ball, he was then bowled out as Joe Root plunged to his left to clutch to a one-handed edge.
Taking to Twitter later on, Broad revealed: "Now I’d heard changing the bails is an Aussie thing to attempt to change luck 🍀.

"In Marnus’ head rent free now ," claimed a third.

While SunSport columnist Piers Morgan reacted with a host of laughing emojis.
Whether Broad’s actions were in the much-debated Spirit of Cricket is another matter. But his shifty bail switch certainly did the trick.
At the end of day two Austalia lead by 12 runs, having already retained the Ashes after rain washed away England's dreams of winning the little urn at Old Trafford in the fourth test.
