West Ham 1 Arsenal 5: Watch highlights as Alexis Sanchez scores incredible 14-minute hat-trick as Hammers face very real threat of Championship football at the London Stadium
Chilean produces one of the all-time great Gunners performances to brush Slaven Bilic's men aside
ALEXIS SANCHEZ effectively earned the right to negotiate whatever new deal he likes after scoring a hat-trick at the London stadium.
The Chilean produced a performance which rivalled Dennis Bergkamp's legendary display at Leicester to humiliate the Hammers.
In just 14 second half minutes, Sanchez saw off the threat of any West Ham fightback and turned a tenuous 1-0 lead into a 5-1 thrashing.

But to view the three wonderful goals in isolation wouldn't do the former Barcelona man justice, because this really was a 90 minute performance.
Through pure desire he beat Winston Reid to a loose ball to set up Mesut Ozil for the first goal and he never looked back from there.
What looked a difficult task before the game for West Ham instantly got harder when James Collins was subbed off with an injury after just six minutes for Alvaro Arbeloa.
Nacho Monreal terrorised former Liverpool man Arbeloa's right hand side and nearly set up Sanchez before Reid got in the way.
However the Gunners did take the lead through a horrendous error by Angelo Ogbonna.
The Italian was closed down by Theo Walcott and Sanchez popped up from nowhere to claim a ball that New Zealander Reid was favourite to pick up.
Home fans at the London Stadium could only wait for the inevitable as the Chilean walked the ball towards goal without a defender in sight and squared for Mesut Ozil to tap in.
At half-time West Ham were, somewhat unfairly, booed off by their supporters.
And the booing didn't do much to help as Arsenal took total control in the second half.
On 68 minutes, they had one of the chances of the game but were denied by a heroic double save from Darren Randolph.

Monreal again had the freedom of the pitch as he ran down the wing and squared the ball for Aaron Ramsey who saw his low shot parried to Alexis Sanchez, whose rebound was also brilliantly kept out.
But three minutes later Sanchez was not to be denied as he ran down the right of the pitch, outmuscled Masuaku, shifted away from Ogbonna and fired a cool low finish into the bottom corner.
In an intriguing sub-plot, Andy Carroll warmed up throughout the second half with the crowd expecting him to be brought on at any minute.
However Slaven Bilic first opted for Andre Ayew and then kept Carroll back until Arsenal scored the second - a move that the Croatian will surely attract serious criticism for.
By the time Carroll finally came on, West Ham looked a beaten side and Alexis Sanchez made sure of victory in the 81st minute.
Sanchez, with his back to goal, turned and fired a perfectly placed low shot from outside of the box into the bottom corner.
West Ham did get one goal back as Dimitri Payet's free kick cannoned off the post and Carroll was on hand to head home the rebound.
Straight from the kick-off however, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put Bilic's side back in their place, firing a powerful shot into the bottom corner.
And one of the performances of the season was capped by one of the goals of the season as Sanchez was played through and beautifully chipped Randolph to secure his hat-trick.
West Ham, now just one point above relegation, were booed again at the full-time whistle. This time rightly so.
But even the most hardened Hammer would appreciate that Arsenal's talisman Sanchez had given them their money's worth.
FACTS, STATS, GOALS AND LOLS
- HAS Slaven Bilic ran over a cat or something? His injury problems mounted when James Collins hobbled off after just five minutes when he pulled a hamstring.
- YOU could make a case for making Arsenal’s opener an own goal by Angelo Ogbonna. What was he doing by rolling the ball to Francis Coquelin, who quickly set Alexis Sanchez free to lay a pass for Mesut Ozil’s opener.
- MESUT OZIL showed no signs of being distracted by the tax avoidance story that broke this weekend. The German, reported to be implemented, showed great determination to react after Ogbonna’s mistake to be in the right place to slot home his eight goal of the season, which is how many he netted last season.
- WAS it a bit unfair to expect Ashley Fletcher to lead the line against Arsenal when he had big Andy Carroll fully fit and on the bench. Surely starting him to rough up Arsenal and see how he goes would have been a better bet?
- ALEXIS SANCHEZ was like a kid in a sweetie shop. He totally owned the West Ham defence and he showed great alertness and then calmness for Arsenal’s opener. And his great clincher was class.
- YOU would fear for West Ham’s Premier League survival if Dimitri Payet or Manuel Lanzini got injured. Both are clearly the club’s best players. Anything that happens tends to come through those two.
- ARSENAL are looking in great nick right now – but yesterday they will be annoyed not to have put the game out of sight at half-time.
- SLAVEN BILIC has to take the blame for some awful signings during the summer. Alvaro Arbeloa was given the run around by Nacho Monreal and Edmilson Fernandes' impact was minimal.
- WHERE exactly would Arsenal be without Sanchez. With Olivier Giroud being injured and not played frequently, the Chilean has had to carry the Gunners’ hopes up top. They need to sign another quality front man in January to stay strong in case of any injuries.
- AARON RAMSEY’s introduction gave Arsenal more creativity and his assist set Sanchez on his way to grab Arsenal’s second.
